The French flag strung from the top of the Arc de Triomphe in L'Etoile.

This was strung for the French equivilent of hte Fourth of July (obviously, NOT the Fourth of July). France's Eternal Flame of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier lies just under the Flag, and there was a parade and commemoration to honor those people.

hi,

actualy it was for 8 may and the celebration for the 50th anniversary of 2WW ending.

Our 4th of july is 14th july in memory of the 1789's revolution begining.

I hope you enjoyed your time in my country.

Ah, see, I was there for both...so they got all mixed up in my brain.

But yeah, it LOVED it. I'm actually considering taking my semester abroad in France. I learned A LOT of french while I was there. And rocked out at the Cannes Film Festival :D
